Cookie Policy
Updated on:
Short version: this site does not use cookies to track visitors. The long version is below.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small files that the browser stores when you visit a site. They can serve technical purposes (keep you logged in, remember preferences) or tracking purposes (measure behavior, identify people across sites).
2. What marco-sousa.net uses
This site is static and has one of the lightest cookie footprints possible:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: does not use cookies. Measures traffic in an aggregated and anonymous way, without browser fingerprinting.
- Cloudflare operational cookies (CDN and security): may be set by the infrastructure to protect the site against abuse (e.g.,
__cf_bmfor bot management) or to distribute requests across regions. These are strictly necessary cookies, with no marketing purpose. - Third-party embeds: if you interact with the LinkedIn embed (visible in the "Writing" section of the homepage), LinkedIn may set its own cookies per their policy. You can block those at the browser level.
3. What the site does not do
- No marketing cookies.
- No remarketing cookies or advertising pixels (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, etc.).
- No browser fingerprinting.
- No cross-site tracking.
4. How to manage cookies
Because the site does not use tracking cookies, there is no consent banner. If you want to block even Cloudflare's operational cookies or LinkedIn's cookies from the embed, do so via your browser settings.
5. More details
